- obtain much-needed highway projects, like I-71 widening, SR18 upgrade, I-71/SR 303 ramp
- reduce garbage disposal and recycling costs
- expand parks and green spaces
- improve water quality and protect resources from overuse
- produce a bicentennial county history video and curriculum materials for distribution to all county schools without charge
- build a university center that expands higher education opportunities and workforce training facilities
- improve and expand public transit for all residents

- Special fields of graduate study: Urban Studies, History of Transportation, Public Policy Analysis, Statistics
- Medina County Commissioner (1997 to present)
