Has led countywide efforts to:

  • obtain much-needed highway projects, like I-71 widening, SR18 upgrade, I-71/SR 303 ramp
  • reduce garbage disposal and recycling costs
  • expand parks and green spaces
  • improve water quality and protect resources from overuse
  • produce a bicentennial county history video and curriculum materials for distribution to all county schools without charge
  • build a university center that expands higher education opportunities and workforce training facilities
  • improve and expand public transit for all residents

  • University of Akron, Ph.D. History, 1993; Martin Scholar
  • Special fields of graduate study: Urban Studies, History of Transportation, Public Policy Analysis, Statistics
  • Medina County Commissioner (1997 to present)
  • Brunswick City Councilman (1990-91, 1994-1996)
  • Leadership Medina County, Board of Trustees (1991-1999)
